I’ve been sick since Christmas day. I had a cold and I was trying to be really cool and not a whiny-ass about it. I felt okay in the mornings but like a blob of goo by noon every day. We had a lot of Mondays and Fridays off work for holidays but I kept taking advil and cough meds and going in on the days I had to until I felt lousy and ended up driving home in a fever haze each day. ...

Fever speak
Co-worker: Do you have an iPhone charger I could borrow? Me: I may have but it’s probably in my truck. Co-worker: *confused stare* Me: What did I just say? Co-worker: you said “in your truck.” Me: I don’t drive a truck. Co-worker: I know, it’s the absolute opposite of a truck. I think your fever is back. Me: I’m going home.

Earlier in the day I tried to get through a couple events with Rocksmith on the Xbox that I  play with my old real electric guitar but my nose wouldn’t quit running long enough to get through a single song so I snuggled up with box of Did several shots of Spent 12 hours with my peeps While creating a new Sims3 Gallifrey…in my world the Doctor must use the loo and wash his...

I’m only on the third episode but I’m capping the hell out of it. I think I love him so much because he’s brutally honest and isn’t afraid to act like a complete fool.  I don’t know when this show first...

I ate more than 28 strips of bacon in 6 days
I’m home now. I’m going to have to eat oatmeal every morning for three months to make up for the debauchery of this wedding vacation with the fancy breakfast buffet complete with omelet chef and bottomless chafing dishes of bacon.

jennhoney replied to your photo: Today was lovely. This is so true! Did you see this whole interview with Neil? He said that when he stays in his house in Scotland and visits the Nicholson family, they serve him enough scotch that he apparently drunk dials people in a Scottish accent. I think this is an awesome phenomenon.

ebee- replied to your photo: Storm Troopers and Mr. Potato Head take over… Why is this kind of frightening? It is though. It was completely frightening and awesome at the same time. This whole place kind of frightens me. You could drop me into the Canadian wilderness with just a compass and I wouldn’t feel as disoriented as I do here. New York City makes more sense to me. But...

And hanging out with Todd is always entertaining. Also, I...

canamharris replied to your post: I’m the worst suitcase packer ever 1. I hope they do that one underwear and socks thing while your gone, that’s classic 80’s! 2. I am horrible at packing too. I either over or under pack! For Can. Thanksgiving I over packed the kids and then underpacked for me! That underwear and socks thing (Risky Business?) is kind of normal for them since they have to...

I'm the worst suitcase packer ever
I don’t even know what’s in there anymore. I keep doing laundry and packing random things after I fold them.  Stuff probably won’t match. I don’t have a dress. I have great shoes. I could just carry my shoes around Miami begging dress shop owners to sell me a dress to match.  I’m pretty sure I packed enough under-things for 2 weeks. We won’t be gone half that...

tricialew asked: I just got my Doctor Who–The...
neil-gaiman: When I wrote my Doctor Who episode, I wanted to  write the kind of story  that would work if you were eight and work if you were sixty, even if it worked in different ways. And that seemed important: that it be an episode for someone who had never see Doctor Who before and was watching it on a sofa with a parent reassuringly close, and that it would also be for someone like me who...

Officially official
It’s officially the “holiday season” as told by the fact that I had to back up my belt one notch this morning….already. I haven’t even made cookies yet. This program will continue through Mardi Gras.
